Andrew VanNess
Andrew Van Ness is a member of the Florida Bar and concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation involving business and real estate disputes, trust and estate litigation, and general civil litigation.
He received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Florida in 2021, with a major in economics and a minor in Spanish. During his time there, Mr. Van Ness was a member of the Florida Blue Key leadership honorary society and served as the president of his fraternity, Beta Theta Pi. Mr. Van Ness received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law in 2024, where he competed on the mock trial team and advocated in several states across the nation. Mr. Van Ness also served as a staff editor of the Business Law Review Journal and finished top of his class in the topic of Closely Held Business Organizations.
Mr. Van Ness was born and raised in Sarasota, Florida and is actively engaged in the legal community. Prior to working at Bentley Goodrich Kison, he clerked for the Honorable Judges Stephen M. Walker and Andrea McHugh in the civil division for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court of Sarasota County.
Mr. Van Ness has a Colombian heritage and spent 2 summers in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Bogotá, Colombia, furthering his Spanish communication skills. Mr. Van Ness is proficient in the language
